Founded in 1853, the Oakland Cemetery is St. Paul's oldest public cemetery. It is designed by Horace Cleveland who also designed the University of Minnesota campus, Lakewood Cemetery, Minnehaha Park, and the Grand Rounds of the Minneapolis park system.
